Thread Vein & Vascular Blemish Removal
ThermaVein® thermocoagulation is a quick and effective treatment designed to reduce the appearance of small vascular blemishes, including red veins, thread veins, red spots and spider naevi.
The treatment works by delivering a controlled high-frequency current through a very fine probe placed just above the affected vessel. This produces a precise thermal effect, causing the targeted vein to seal. The body then naturally breaks down and absorbs the treated vessel over time, helping to leave the skin looking clearer and more even.
ThermaVein® is particularly suited to treating small, visible veins and vascular blemishes and allows individual areas to be targeted with precision while minimising the effect on the surrounding skin. A consultation is recommended beforehand to assess the area and determine whether the treatment is suitable for you.

- Arrive to your appointment make up free

No waxing / plucking / self tan on the skin for 48 hrs pre treatment

Stop using any creams containing Retinol, Vitamin A & avoid sun exposure for min 5 days pre treatment

No injectables, Botox or Fillers for 2 weeks pre & post treatment

Stay hydrated. Please avoid Coffee, taking Ibuprofen, Aspirin (unless medically advised) & alcohol the night before or day of your treatment

Avoid sun exposure – no sunbeds a min 48 hrs pre treatment
Post Treatment Advice
- Avoid direct sun exposure as advised for each treatment, please apply SPF daily.
- No sunbeds for minimum 2 weeks or as directed.
- Leave skin for 24 -48 hours following treatment or as instructed
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid excessive activity that may cause sweating – treatment dependant
- Do not exfoliate the area for a minimum of 14 days
- Plasma Pen Removal treatment – speak to your practitioner for specific guidelines DO NOT PICK or PULL the scabs that form, these must be allowed to fall off naturally over the coming days
